Fraser Stage - 12:15PM
Ladybird is a trio of vocalists and multi-instrumentalists bonded by their love of folk, bluegrass, and good-hearted fun. Drawing on a wide array of influences spanning from the traditional American songbook to Swedish folk and jazz, these ladies blend their powerful original songs with fresh takes on old favorites. Ladybird’s music has been described as “a simple and yet sophisticated amalgamation of deeply personal lyrics, effortless vocal harmonies, and impressive ever-changing and exchanging string accompaniment" (TriState Indie), and resonates with fans of Uncle Earl, Della Mae, and the Wailin’ Jennys. Their latest EP, “Hey There, Ladybird!” was chosen as top album of 2016 on WPKN’s “Music My Mother Wouldn’t Like.” They performed a number of times at Philadelphia Folk Festival, Bethlehem’s Musikfest, and World Café Live, and have shared the stage with acts such as Steep Canyon Rangers and Cahalen Morrison & Eli West.
